A short blog post today, but I need to recognize the generosity of others. THANK YOU ALL for your donations to date and your pledges for support. I am beyond humbled that so many are giving what they can. I know I'm not a charity or a 501c, I'm just a person who wants to try a crazy adventure. I honestly don't expect any donations from anyone, so that makes each one from $5 to $100 so incredibly humbling. I am eternally grateful to each of you and am SO EXCITED to share this experience with you all.
Lately I have also been working on listing gear/equipment I will need and who might be able to provide it. I'm writing what I'm calling sponsorship letters and maybe I can get some companies (big and local) to donate gear or even give me a pro deal or wholesale.
I want to get all of my gear before June if possible so that I can test it this summer in the mountains here during my training. I'd hate to fine out my sleeping bag isn't waterproof in Patagonia!
Maybe a little TMI but right now my biggest concern is underwear! I need good, sturdy undergarments that aren't going to chafe in the extreme riding. If anyone has some suggestions, I'm all ears.
